Golden Gate Guidebook

Several years ago I found this guide book to the 1939 Golden Gate International Expo in a little bookshop in San Francisco, I think on Irving Street.
In 1936-37, Treasure Island was built in the middle of San Francisco Bay specifically for the expo. They created this wonderland of plazas, towers, fountains, and statues, all representing different cultures and countries around the world. The whole thing was meant to encourage international understanding and appreciation.
Then they tore it all down to make way for a naval base when the US joined WWII.
Sigh.
